Get ready for Christmas with Shrubgarden with our great selection of high-quality Christmas trees. For Christmas you’ll want everything to be perfect, and this includes the centrepiece of your living room: the Christmas tree. You’ll want to be sure it’s the perfect size and shape, whilst also not dropping too many needles in your home.
The best way to secure your Christmas tree is to pre-order it from Shrubgarden, to ensure it arrives when you’re ready to decorate your home.
At Shrubgarden we have a range of Christmas trees to ensure you can find the perfect Christmas tree for your home. This includes the tall Nordmann Fir and Norway Spruce trees, as well as the smaller Blue Spruce which comes festive-wrapped. We also offer free local delivery for the Nordmann Fir and Norway Spruce if you’re in the Northumberland area.
Each one of our Christmas trees is lovingly grown in our Northumberland nursery, with free local delivery available, and smaller tree delivery across the country. We’re sure you’ll love your Christmas tree just in time for the festive season, and see them grow even after Christmas is over, which is why all our plants come with a 12-month guarantee.
In addition to Christmas trees, we have a broad selection of shrubs, herbaceous plants, ferns, grasses, climbing plants and trees at Shrubgarden all year round. You can also discover our decorative woven willow; as well as conifers, compost, decorative stone, gifts and garden shed essentials.
A Care Guide to Pot Grown Christmas Trees
We suggest the following care instructions, in order to maintain the tree’s hardiness:
- Keep your tree outside until you are ready to decorate it
- When inside, place it away from direct heat and water it regularly
- Once Christmas is over, your tree can either be planted out in your garden or re-potted into a larger pot
- When moving your tree outside after Christmas, we suggest allowing it to acclimatise to the change in situation gradually by putting it in a garage or similar situation first
- If re-potting your tree, it can be done at any time of the year but is best done in early Spring
- Repot into a pot at least 10cm larger in diameter, and use good multipurpose potting compost with some added garden bark mulch for drainage
- As with when your tree is inside, it should be watered regularly, not allowing it to dry out. Fertilise throughout the year to keep it fed and ready for the next season.
Following these tips gives it the best chance possible of growing on your tree for another year.
