The beautiful red oak tree is native to North America, which is why it’s commonly referred to as the northern red oak. It’s famed for its leaves which turn from a dark green into a bright red before falling in autumn. Also known as Quercus rubra, this sapling is one of the fastest growing oaks, which can increase by two metres a year in good conditions. Overall, a red oak tree can grow to a height of around 25 metres over its lifetime.

At Shrubgarden, each of our saplings is lovingly grown in our tree nursery in Northumberland, including our English Oak Sapling. The red oak sapling also comes in a Shrubgarden gift box, meaning it’s the perfect gift for that green-fingered friend or family member in your life.

Delivery & Returns

We currently offer a flat fee of £7.99 across our full range of products. We try to dispatch your order the next working day after receiving your order (Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays), but please allow for three working days for dispatch.

If you wish to return an item purchased from us, you have 28 days in which to return it. Inside the first 14 days, you must contact us to notify us of your return request. Any items returned must be in the original condition you’ve received it, with all packaging intact.

All of our plants are grown with love and care, and we believe that your plant will not only arrive in great condition, but it will flourish in your garden with the right nurture. It’s why we have a 12-month guarantee on any plant that fails in the first year of ownership.
