The Lantern Tree, or Crinodendron hookerianum 'Ada Hoffman,' is a beautiful evergreen plant that lends grace to any garden. Its distinctive pink blooms resemble lanterns and bloom in the spring. These flowers contrast strikingly with its vivid green leaves. This shrub's striking brown stems and green fruits give it a year-round charm. After 10 years, it can reach heights of 2.5 m and widths of 1.5 m and it's ideal for little gardens or as a focal point in larger spaces because of this.

The Lantern Tree does well in light to part shade and prefers well-drained, moisture-retentive acidic soil, making it suitable for many garden settings. It can survive winter temperatures down to -10°C, making it hardy enough for typical UK winters. The slightly prickly leaves add an interesting touch, making the Lantern Tree both attractive and unique.
